Physiotherapy & Massage Therapy

We provide treatment for:

Treatments:

Assessment and Consultation

At your first session, the physiotherapist or athletic therapist will ask about your medical history, the story of your condition, and your goals for therapy.  They will also conduct a physical examination.  The therapist will then propose treatment options, and work with you to develop a treatment plan.  Your treatment plan will often include a customized home exercise program.

Low Intensity Laser Therapy

Low level laser therapy facilitates soft tissue healing and can reduce pain.  Laser can be used directly on an injury, or in conjunction with the acupuncture meridian system.

Therapists at our clinics use the Bioflex Laser system.

Acupuncture

River East Physiotherapists have post-graduate training in acupuncture and are certified with Acupuncture Canada.

Dry Needle Therapy

Dry needling is a technique used to help release tight muscles and tissues that are restricting movement and causing pain.  Thin, sterile, flexible needles are inserted into "trigger points" in the tissue.

Massage Therapy

Our Registered Massage Therapists provide deep tissue, relaxation and lymphatic massage treatments (30 and 60 minute sessions).

Regional therapeutic massage (i.e. massage to one region of the body) is available with our physiotherapists (30 minute sessions).
