Liana Stecky

Training & Qualifications

Liana Stecky has over 25 years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT).  She is a graduate of the Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapy, and she also holds a degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Manitoba. Liana’s professional associations are with the Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba (MTAM), the London & Counties Society of Physiologists and the Canadian Massage Therapy Association.

Liana's Approach

Liana is passionate about helping people.  She is intuitive and works to create a comfortable and calm environment for her patients.  She uses a blend of techniques to treat stress-related concerns, injuries, and acute and chronic pain.

Professional Awards

In the Spring of 2023, Liana was awarded one of the highest levels of education achievement in the MTAM Professional Development Program, the Heather Whittaker Memorial Award.  This award recognizes members who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

More About Liana

In addition to her massage therapy credentials, Liana has completed fitness & dance certifications including Zumba Fitness, Stott Mat Pilates, Vinyasa Yoga 200RYT, 500-RYT, 100 hours Yoga for Athletes, Fitness Instructor Specialist (FIS) and Personal Training Specialist (PTS).  She is an active member of YogaFit Canada, Canadian Fitness Professionals Inc. and the Manitoba Fitness Council.  Liana is enrolled in a Registered Nutritionist Program.

Liana has always had a passion for music and dance.  She has been a dancer, soloist, and an Artistic Committee member with the Rusalka Ukrainian Dance Ensemble.  She has had the privilege to study with international professional dance companies.  Liana has studied Character and Ballet in the Royal Academy Ballet Method and Cecchetti style of dance. She is also an accomplished Bandura player (Ukrainian harp) and singer.  Liana is presently the Choreographer and Artistic Director of the Melos Folk Ensemble.
