Our People

River East Physiotherapists have university degrees and are licensed with the College of Physiotherapy of Manitoba. We are all members of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

Many of our professionals are also certified in Neural - Anatomical Acupuncture with Acupuncture Canada

We offer Vestibular treatments, Functional Reconditioning programs, Orthotic customization and more.

Our clinics are approved by the University of Manitoba for physiotherapy student interns.


Multidisciplinary Approach

To achieve complete health care, we inform and work with your doctor, dentist, chiropractor, massage therapist or personal trainer.  Our  Physiotherapy Team have a variety of post graduate skill sets. We also have Massage Therapists on our team.

We collaborate together for your best possible outcomes when necessary with your permission.

Ms Grant started River East Physiotherapy and Sport Fitness Clinics in 1985. She has been actively involved with the North Kildonan community, the Manitoba physiotherapy profession and the faculty of Acupuncture Canada. Ms Grant facilitates all programs and patients care with a dedicated team of licensed professionals.

Don Charbonneau

Don Charbonneau

Since graduating from the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Medical Rehabilitation with a degree in Physical Therapy, Don has been practicing in orthopaedic rehabilitation. He is certified to perform acupuncture by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and Dry Needle Therapy.

He also performs Functional Abilities Evaluations and Reconditioning Programs.

Aynsley Fraser

Aynsley is a graduate of the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Medical Rehabilitation with a degree in Physical Therapy. She is certified to perform acupuncture with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute.

Aynsley has completed post-graduate studies in Vestibular Therapy and treats individuals suffering from vertigo, dizziness and post-concussion syndrome. She is trained to perform Functional Abilities Evaluations and Reconditioning Programs.

Danielle Fraser

She has post graduate certification in acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and is trained in performing Functional Abilities Evaluations and Reconditioning Programs.

Julia McDaniels

Julia McDaniels

Julia is a graduate of the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Medical Rehabilitation with a degree in Physical Therapy. She is certified to practice acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute.

She is bilingual in English and French. Julia is trained in performing Functional Abilities Evaluations and Reconditioning Programs and biomechanical running analysis.

Liana Stecky

Liana Stecky
RMT LCSP (Phys), MTAM, CMTA

Liana is a graduate from the Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapy.

She has over 20 years of clinical experience and is trained in many forms of therapy including Relaxation Massage, Deep Tissue Massage and Lymphatic Massage Therapy.

Ashley Gusberti

Ashley is a graduate from the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Medical Rehabilitation with a degree in Physiotherapy. She is certified to perform acupuncture with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. Ashley is trained in performing Functional Abilities Evaluations and Reconditioning Programs. 

Ryan Pang

Ryan graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science, and a Master of Physical Therapy through the faculty of Medical Rehabilitation. He is certified in acupuncture through Acupuncture Canada, and is trained in performing Functional Abilities Evaluations and Reconditioning Programs.

Ryan graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Master of Physical Therapy and a Bachelor of Kinesiology. He has experience working in both public and private practice.

Sara Ventura

Sara Ventura

Sara graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Masters of Physical Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts. She is a certified Sports First Responder and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Avril Hatherell

Avril Hatherell
MPT

Avril is a graduate from the University of Alberta with a Masters of Physical Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Genetics. Avril has been a long-standing athlete and Coach in the sport of archery.
